All water is turned back on after crews found the leak in the A-Plat area. This leak was caused by a line breaking by a frost free yard hydrant and was undetectable due to all the snow we have received recently. The leak ran 300,000 gallons threw the meter and many man hours and it could have been prevented if the meter had been turned off. The water company is not responsible for turning meters off that is the lot owners responsibility. Please if you are not going to be at your cabin for a length of time shut your meters off, not in your cabin but at the meter. The manager of Pine Meadow Mutual Water would like to thank all of those who helped us search for the leak. In closing I would like to say one more time to please shut your meter off if you are not going to be there, next time this could be you. Please keep in mind not only does this cost you money, but also the water company due to the power it costs to pump the water. Even though we have found this leak please check your own to make sure you do not have a leak. Over time little leaks can costs thousands of dollars also.

There seems to be a leak on the ranch losing between 20 to 25 gallons per minute. This leak showed up on our history trends the weekend of March 27th and has been staying steady ever since. This leak is coming off of the 500k tank which includes the roads Pine Meadow Dr., I-Plat, A-Plat, Navajo Rd, Navajo Dr., Yellow Moon, Running Deer Circle, Tollgate Canyon, Pine Loop, Arapahoe Dr and all of Forest Meadows. We would really appreciate it if everybody could check their own meter or their property for a leak. If you dig up your meter please be sure to bury it again with snow to insulate it for the cold nights to come. Please keep in mind if this leak is going through your meter we want to find it as soon as possible so your bill does not get out of control. Crews have began to isolate roads and have had a difficult time in doing it due to the fact we are pumping more water than we are losing. Please contact us if you notice anything out of the ordinary this is a difficult time of year to locate a leak due to the run off we are getting with the snow melt. If you have been to your cabin recently and may have left something on that may have frozen please check it, remember all the snow around your cabin could have melted and caused something to freeze now that you dont have that insulation.
